Professional Experience
Holly Salisbury, Psy.D. is a psychologist licensed in the state of Arizona since 2010. She has worked in the mental health field since 1999 in settings including an acute psychiatric hospital and substance abuse detox facility, State hospitals, community mental health, and clinical and forensic private practices. Dr. Salisbury graduated from an APA accredited doctoral program at Argosy University Phoenix. She trained at an APA accredited internship at the Arizona State Hospital and later completed an APPIC approved post-doctoral training program. Dr. Salisbury practices in areas of clinical and forensic psychology. Specialized areas of training and experience are related to treatment and evaluation of individuals who have committed sexual offenses. This includes adult males and females who have committed sexual offenses, issues pertaining to the Sexually Violent Person statute, education and treatment of family members of those who have committed sexual offenses, as well as the assessment and treatment of victims of sexual abuse. Additional training and experience includes assessment and treatment of those who have perpetrated or been impacted by violence, particularly as it relates to family violence and family homicide. Dr. Salisbury also has training and experience in the understanding, assessment, and treatment of trauma including complex trauma issues, adult attachment issues, and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. She has been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing treatment. Additionally, Dr. Salisbury conducts mitigation evaluations to assist the Court in consideration of relevant factors for sentencing. Dr. Salisbury has provided consultation and expert witness testimony in criminal, civil, and probation matters.
